The single-hand watch Defakto Eins Modular offers the acclaimed, high quality 3-piece watch case in a modular setup. It comes in two varieties, one with a steel central case and one with bronze, both featuring black PVD bezel and crowns. The semi-coarse brushing gives them a subtle texture - the contrasting materials play off of the stark dial, for a modern and sophisticated look. While the steel model serves a clean industrial look the bronze version develops an unique patina over time. Looking to the skeletonized single-hand time finds a new deaccelerating rhythm - one that says you live at your own pace. Due to the extensive, almost brutalistic indexing, the time can be read accurately to about 5 minutes. If you wear the watch for a while, you notice a positive, more sensitive approach to time. The lack of precision will fine-tune your intuition and decelerate your day. The tension between the size of the markers and the negative space in between, the rhythm of the forms and their interaction with the unique single-hand make up the watch´s unique, minimalist character. The 9.8mm high, 42mm watch case is made of stainless steel and has a look through back which provides a view of the automatic movement. The japan made automatic movement Miyota 9015 has a gear reserve of at least 42 hours. Dial and hands are covered with swiss made fluorescent Superluminova. The interior anti-reflective, highly scratch-resistant sapphire glass reduces interfering reflections. The Eins offers a water resistance of 50m / 5Atm.
